the challenge. 2k17 and the agency Christmas card that we send out to clients and suppliers was once again, up for grabs.

‘Anything but a card’ was the brief. 

But no one said anything about ‘cards’.

the work. The Refinery MEMEmas card game. Working closely with designers, we created a card game based on creating your own memes – with the funniest meme being the winning combination. The twist? We created our own 'meme' photography in the studio with our own members of staff, to give the game a personal touch. My particular contribution was developing the concept, and writing the captions and the instructions. But best of all, EVERYTHING went through with absolutely no amends, which was a Christmas gift in itself.

Our clients absolutely loved the card game.  And it was so great to be able to get the whole agency involved in such a quirky way, for such a fun and unique project. (And on a personal level, directing and writing endless memes has probably been the premature peak of my creative career).
